Public Nuisance

1. When travellers illegally set up camp in Sandbanks car park in August 2018 we liaised with our Ward Councillors and Poole Council on resolution of the issue and keeping residents informed. Poole Council quickly started a legal process which resulted in the travellers moving on after four days.
2. When the hot spell started in summer 2018 illegal overnight camping started on Sandbanks beach. No-one wants to spoil people’s fun. But we acted in liaison with the Council to ensure the right Council department were engaged to addres the issue. We also publicised a 24/7 hotline number for residents to call to get through to the Council public nusiance enforcement team.
